Bee-Bots are the perfect tool for introducing students to the principles of coding.
Whio has been using Bee-Bots, the Bee-Bots app and an unplugged activity called Kid Bot during our Maths/Digi-tech lessons this week.
Bee-Bots are exciting programmable robots that tamariki can program to move around a grid. In our sessions this week, we have used the Bee-Bots as a tool to enhance our directional skills.
Although using Bee-bots looks simple, there is a lot of learning taking place. Students design, write and debug their code in order to reach a goal.
We have had lots of fun and especially enjoyed the unplugged group challenge where we have to find the shortest path to get to the dinosaur!
