Te Tuna Tāone - Planting Day

On Wednesday morning, the Tuna Tāone team went to Muir Park to help with riparian planting. This means planting native shrubs and grasses along the stream banks to help prevent erosion and to give shade to tuna, eels.
The students had a great time, getting stuck into digging and planting, making sure the plants are protected by weed mats and shelter boxes and then surrounding the plants with mulch.
